Scientific irrigation scheduling and crop water requirement calculator.

Sulama Takvimi How Is It Determined?

Optimizing agricultural and residential irrigation timing conserves water while maximizing crop yields and plant vigor. This calculator applies FAO standards combining reference ET (ET₀) with crop coefficients (Kc).

The algorithm evaluates ambient temperature and humidity to compute baseline ET₀, applies the crop-specific Kc factor to establish net evapotranspiration, and subtracts recent precipitation to schedule irrigation events.

Crop coefficient (Kc) benchmarks: Corn (1.20), tomatoes (1.15), wheat (1.10), and turf grass (0.85). Values reflect peak growth maturity.

In the United States, agriculture accounts for more than 80% of the nation's consumptive water use, making precision irrigation essential for sustainability.
